About Holly

Holly started her working life as a Learning Officer at the Imperial War Museum Duxford and later at Chiltern Open Air Museum. During this time she discovered the power stories have as a means of connecting us with each other and with people in the past.

She draws on her experience of working in museums in her story sessions by combining traditional stories with fun, interactive elements and activities that are enjoyed by children and adults.

In 2020 she created the History and Folklore Podcast, which explores folklore associated with the natural world and how stories and sayings reflect and shape our understanding of the world around us.

Holly started storytelling on the Isle of Wight in  2019. Since then she has shared stories with audiences at Robin Hill, the Isle of Wight Festival Kidzone, Rhythmtree Festival, Hullabaloo, Carisbrooke Castle Museum, Chale Show, Somewhen Storytelling Festival, IW Story Festival and a number of schools, fairs and outdoor venues.
